That Heart-Stopping Moment When a Tourist Was Chased By a Crocodile

A run-for-your-life chase with a member of the wild world in hot pursuit - this is the stuff nightmares are made of. Many folks, you included, may have had at least one such horrid night, wherein they found themselves desperately out-running a ferocious animal, in their sleep of course (for sci-fi lovers, it would possibly be some never-seen-before creature).

Unfortunately, a tourist, unaware of a lurking crocodile in the same water body as he was in, lived it.

Footage believed to be taken and uploaded by Manuel Cerrara on Facebook shows a tourist escape the jaws of a crocodile.

He was swimming in the picturesque Boca Paila, about six miles to the south of Tulum, Mexico when the giant reptile began chasing him. "This male crocodile is an expert at stealing fish from the fishermen," wrote Cerrara.

Luckily for the tourist, horrified onlookers hurled things on the speedy crocodile to distract it and he reached the shore safe.
