Xiaomi Mi 3 sold out in 2.3 seconds on FlipKart

Likeclockwork, on Tuesday, the Xiaomi Mi 3 was up for sale on Flipkart and it was sold out in 2.3 seconds. Previously, the phone was sold out in 2.3 seconds on August 12, two-seconds on August 5 and in five seconds on July 29. In the first sale on July 21, it was sold out in 40 seconds. 
The phone is sold in a unique flash sale format where Xiaomi allows consumers to participate in the sale via pre registrations. This time Xiaomi offered 20,000 units of the Mi 3 for sale.
The Mi 3 represents incredible value as it offers top of the line hardware for just Rs 13,999. It has a 5-inch 1080p screen, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 3,050mAh battery, a super fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, and 2GB of RAM.
It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with MiUI 6 running on top. Xiaomi is attempting to ramp up production of the device to meet the demands of the Indian consumer, but it admits it cannot dramatically improve the supply of the phone.
